We have a HR lady that I think violated HIPA...she took a injured employee to the ER and went into the examine room and did not leave, she also talked about other workman comp cases in front of them, is that against the law?

That violates employee privacy and hipaa. This is something the employee and the company can file a grievance about. Normally, company will discpline the offending employee ranging from warning to termination.
