Customer Question

My mother resides in an assisted living facility. Recently, she required out-patient surgery to remove a small tumor. For whatever reason the hospital found it acceptable to inform the administration staff of her living facility before she or her family was informed of the day, date, and time of this procedure. I am concerned this is a violation of her privacy. The hospital where this occured investigated themselves and found they did nothing wrong. Do I have a legitimate beef or not? Thank you, ***** ***** (*****@******.***

Hello and welcome, Roy.

Do you know whether your mother signed any documents at the facility giving them permission to receive her confidential medical information?
