I am currently collecting a pension that was frozen in 1998,

Customer Question

I am currently collecting a pension that was frozen in 1998, I waited to 62 years old to ensure I would get the full amount. This was on Pension Credits that were earned between 1978 and 1998.
My pension fund is telling me that I must report all wages and give them access to my SS account , so they can see if I am working in what they refer to as covered work . I am a licensed professional in the state of California. Is this a legitimate request

If the pension is a vested and unconditional benefit, the request is irrelevant and unreasonable and you should reject it.

Is that the case here?
