Customer Question

I accepted an offer of employment on 9/14/15. Before I submitted my resignation, on 9/21/15 I received a separation letter with a non-compete/confidentiality agreement included fro my current employer. I signed them on 9/24 after checking to make sure my new employer was not on the list of competitors in the 2014 annual report. I just learned that my original employer and my new employer entered into a joint venture in 2005. Am I still in compliance with the non-compete? Is my new employer at any risk? I start work tomorrow, October 5 at the new employer. Thank you.

Do the companies compete as defined in the agreement?
