I was placed on administrative leave while my company verifies my address, how can I defend myself?

Unfortunately, if you have no employment contract specifically stating that you have certain rights to due process or a hearing before being suspended, the employer has the legal authority to do so "at will" in your state.

They can do so with or without cause. The only right you have to defend yourself is through any internal system they have set up.
