Hello and welcome. I am very sorry you were let go.
How many total employees were terminated at the same time? How much notice of the termination were you given? Lastly, do you have any specific evidence suggesting an unlawful motive for terminating you (I.e. age, race, religion) and if so what?
I look forward to helping you.

About 50 people.

26 of them in my office (NY)

On Monday, the entire company received an email stating that the company I worked for was bought by a competitor.

On Tuesday the entire company got an email that there would be a company wide meeting. They separated the staff and had 26 of us in a conference room and told us we were terminated and that we had 15 min. to get or personal belongings. I have a separation agreement but do to want to sign.
