You explain this to the lawyers and the parties
that kind of emergency can be basis to postpone the deposition
typically everyone will agree, and schedule a continuation for another date
if you cannot make other arrangements for someone else to pick him up
would there be anything to pay
it would be best to exhaust all options for someone else to cover the pick up
since its an emergency
and not an intentional delay
but see if you can have someone cover the pick up
rather than having to postpone
since there are lawyers, reporters, etc present and scheduled to be there
well i think it is an emergency since the school nurse said I had to pick up my son what do you think
but see if you have someone else who can do the pick up
such as another relative
but if not, you would explain this
try to give notice to everyone involved as soon as possible
then you may postpone it
I wish you the best.
