if references are checked with a Travel Nurse Agency, for a nurse who was "let go before 13 week assignement ended", what kind of reference can be given? I am told by recruiter thst only 'dates of hire' can be offered. IS this true, and how much further can the employer go if asked?

Hello and thank you for using the JA website. Please remember that this site is intended to provide general legal information only. The law only states that you cannot lie. An employer is free to state anything they want so long as it is truthful although many companies choose to create their own policies stating that they will only provide dates worked. Many people mistakenly believe there is some law against stating more but there is not. Please let me know if you need any clarification.
