i resigned from my job on 4/14. It was not impulsive. I had considered quitting it for a long time. I was only at the company for 10 months. I quit due to excessive workload and stress. The culture of the company was work like a horse until you drop or quit. Two doctors told me to resign since I was so stressed. I have a chronic illness and stress is the worst thing I can do. Company has a high turn-over. In the 10 months I was there at least 10 people in various departments left. I was working weekends and weekday nites because I could not keep up with projects they gave me and the deadlines I had to turn them in. I resigned when they told me I had to hand in work on Monday. It was going to be another weekend locked in at home working. I was also told I would probably have to work the following weekend as well which was nothing new since I was working every weekend since september 11. Three docs told me they would write in support of me. my work evaluation was satisfactory.
