Thank you for using JustAnswer!

Do you have a written employment agreement or contract with your employer?

Customer: replied 6 years ago.
No, I just want to know the Illinois State Law on how many days in a row the employer can work you before they are required to give you a day off.
Expert:  JB Umphrey replied 6 years ago.

The law does not require an employer to give an employee unscheduled work days. Sounds insane, I know. But it's true.

Good luck and best wishes. I hope that you find this information to be helpful and this answer to be ACCEPTable!

so an employer can work you for 365 days a year without giving you a day off for rest without repurcussions?
Expert:  JB Umphrey replied 6 years ago.

Technically, yes, that is correct.

If you had a written employment contract that required X days off, then the employer could be sued for breach of contract.

But, if there's no contract, then all is fair.
