I open an attachment to my E-mail and then attempt to edit it but I cannot
Expert:  Byron replied 16 days ago.

That's different than editing the email itself. What kind of attachments are these?

Are they image files or Word documents or PDFs.

Customer: replied 16 days ago.
It appears to be a Word document( Court interrogatives)
Expert:  Byron replied 16 days ago.

Ok. When you open them are they opening with Microsoft Word? Those should be editable if you have Word

installed on your computer.

Customer: replied 16 days ago.
How do I know what they are opening with? I do have Word on my computer
Customer: replied 16 days ago.
I now think it may be a PDF file
Expert:  Byron replied 16 days ago.

Can you do a File>Save As operation and put them on your desktop?

The file will have the Adobe icon for that type of file.

Customer: replied 16 days ago.
Cannot put file on my desktop
Expert:  Byron replied 16 days ago.

when you open the attachment look in the upper right corner for and icon that is an arrow that points down.

That should allow you to download the file.

Expert:  Byron replied 16 days ago.

You should see a rectangle appear in the lower left corner of the screen with the file name in it.

Click the arrow and select View in Folder. By default the attachment will be saved to your downloads folder.
