Which email service are you referring to?
Did you go through the questions like recent 3 email addresses you sent to and 3 email subjects you sent?
I know people always can't remember this kind of info but it IS important for Microsoft to identify you are the true own of the email box.
You have to try your best to recall the information. No one else can replace you for that simply because it is your account and no one else can know that much than you.
However, I can give you some hints:
1. if you think someone ever received your email, give him or her a call. e.g. give your son a call and let him search all emails from you and tell you the exact subject of your emails (more better) and tell you his email address again. (the one received your Hotmail message).
2. if you have 2nd email address or cell phone number associated with your Hotmail address, try getting access to them.
Were you asked for 2nd email address and/or cell phone number?
That's great. Were you asked to send verification code to the Gmail address?
Most likely, you were stuck for the 3 email addresses and 3 subjects!
If you have 4 email addresses, that's good. Call the owners of these emails address, let them search for your emails for you....then you get verified email address and subjects!
if "they" is referring to Microsoft, they will ask you to input new password ***** No temp password.
Call your friends or family members now. Get more verified email addresses and subjects.
Once collected all info (4 x email addresses + exact subject), come back and lets reset the password *****
Exact means no any character is wrong or missing.
