Customer Question

I use aol app on my iphone 6s and somehow deleted all new mail and it didn't end up in trash. How do I bet them back? I have an MSIS so I'm not a newbie, just seems impossible so far. Please help
JA: How long have you had this issue with your A.O.L. account?
Customer: since yesterday I tried to retrieve on my lap top and pc but they didn't show as recently delted in either
JA: How do you access your email most often? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?
Customer: many different ways -- this was on my phone via the app
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: probably not the right one because they're no where to be found
JA: Anything else you want the email expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: no -- it just doesn't make sense they didn't end up in trash

OK, let's try this... Please visit the AOL website from your phone to log into your email account. CLICK HERE Once you're logged in follow these instructions:

STEP 1

Log in to your AOL account.

STEP 2

Open the "Recently Deleted" folder, which is on the left panel of the "Mail" window.

STEP 3

Check the box next to the message you want to recover by clicking once inside the box.

STEP 4

Click the "Restore" button.

If that resolves your issue please RATE my answer. If it doesn't resolve your issue or you have further questions please REPLY back instead.

are you there or waiting for something else from me
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
I did all of those things already. I have a masters in the field
Expert:  derrickonline replied 5 months ago.

Have you checked other folders to ensure they weren't inadvertently moved to a different folder?

If the messages aren't available in your AOL account via the web, it sounds like they're gone. The only other workaround would be if you typically download a copy of your messages using a computer and email client like Outlook. Do you only use your phone and access AOL via web browser? Or do you also use an email client?

You've said that a few times, but I haven't asked you for access to anything. I also understand you're an expert and you have a masters degree, I'm trying to help you troubleshoot.
