If you send an email to yourself on the Fire, do you get it? How do you know that you are not receiving emails?

I Haven't tried that. Maybe you could try. I usually get several emails daily,and have none.my email is***@******.***.

Windows Live (MSN) did have an outage error but it looks like it is cleared up so that shouldn't be causing the issue.

Try this:

Go into Settings (swipe down from the top of the screen)
* More > Applications > Installed Applications
* Swipe down to the Email App
* "Clear Data"

Try opening email now

Ok. I was able to and did clear my email,which brought me to getting a new email app,in other words I have now cleared the email and tried to get a new one,same email address. It wouldn't allow me and said to contact my server. How do I do that? I have silk as a server.

It looks like users are still experiencing issues with Windows Live/Outlook/MSN right now on mobile devices. You should be able to view your email on your Kindle by opening a browser and going to m.hotmail.com then signing into your account until the issue is fixed.

Please allow 24-48 hours for the technicians to fix the issue with the server. Since it is the weekend, please allow until Tuesday morning.
