The finalization process should not take more than a few seconds, so if it's been going for 10 minutes then it's gotten stuck for some reason. It could be possible that the account has already been created on the back end, but just for whatever reason it hasn't pushed you through to the confirmation page.
Here's what I would recommend:
Go ahead and go to lunch and just let the computer keep working. If you come back and you're still not on the confirmation page, then go ahead and navigate away from the page and try to sign into your account with the username/password ***** you chose.
If for some reason you are not able to sign in, then you'll just have to try creating the account again.

You would want to try to sign in with the new account, as mentioned. The account may actually be created but it just hasn't given you the confirmation. So whatever username/password ***** chose, that's what you'd want to sign in with. If it gives you an error, simply attempt to create the account again.
