I have a -standing gmail address. I want to add another name

Customer Question

I have a long-standing gmail address. I want to add another name to the same adress. Possible?
JA: How long have you had this issue with your Gmail account?
Customer: I'm initiating it for the first time today.
JA: How do you access your email most often? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?
Customer: web browser
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I've tried to do an alias, and other methods, but I was stopped by red lettering that said I can't do that.
JA: Anything else you want the email expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No. Primarily I feel that gmail doesn't allow me to use two names for one gmail address, but I hope that's not true.

Do you mean you want to get an alias address for your primary Gmail address? Say you have***@******.***, but you want to receive and send as***@******.*** using your***@******.*** account?

I want to use my current gmail address but I want to have two names.

Are the two other names also with Gmail.com or something else (it is also supported)?
