I've used Thunderbird for a couple years, I have 45.4.0 now.

I've used Thunderbird for a couple years, I have 45.4.0 now. I've received some mail today, but I can't send any. There's a window saying the message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMPT) smpt.q.com timed out. I can go to Centurylink and send mail, just not through Thunderbird.
JA: Who is your email provider (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, etc.)?
Customer: CenturyLink
JA: How do you access your email most often? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?
Customer: On my desktop, with Thunderbird
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I've tried sending myself a test message. Didn't send. I've tried going to CenturyLink mail and sending me a test message. That came through there, but not in Thnunderbird. I've tried pinging my smtp.q.com server and it pings.
JA: Anything else you want the email expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I've received some email today with Tbird, but there was a message at CenturyLink that I didn't get on Tbird.

did you make any changes with thunderbird settings?

This is not working. Order ID: 16816785-617. Anything I press just takes me to a page that wants me to "update" my payment method, but I see you've already charged me $5. I think this is an interesting business model, but your customer interface doesn't work. In particular, I'm having a chat over email about why my email doesn't work, does that make sense?
