There's no general problem on this right now so it must be a setting on her account.Are you able to send an email from her account to herself and one from your own account to see where it lands?

Can you verify whether that's still true if you send an email from her own account?Also test from your account to hers
There's no general problem on this issue so it is local to your friend's email account - the question I asked you about sending an email from her own account is necessary to determine that is true
If you changed none of the settings it might have been a temporary problem with the server.Feel free to test it out properly and let me know what happens.Martin
