Why is my outlook "working offline" and how do I fix it?
JA: How long has this been an issue?
Customer: 2 days that I am aware of
JA: How do you access your email most often? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?
Customer: Web Browser
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Just restarting the machine - don't know what else to try
JA: Anything else you want the email expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No. I am receiving e-mails OK just cant view pictures etc from the internet

  1. Click Send/Receive.

Notice that when Outlook is set to Work Offline, the button is highlighted.

2. Click Work Offline to return to working online.

After you reconnect to the server, the Work Offline button will have a plain background.
