There are a couple things you can do. I am sending you a link to deactivate your account, but if you
look down at the bottom of the page, it tells you some changes you can make to keep this from happening
to you and still allow you to keep your twitter account. It also explains exactly what happens when you
delete an account entirely. This is assuming you can still access your account as you did not respond yet.
You will have to do this manually as you set up the twitter account, they ask that you delete it as well.
They will not go in and do this for you.
