What type of account are you trying to recover? (e.g. gmail)

Did you get a reply from Yahoo?
If you have not accessed the account in years, please note that Yahoo accounts that have had no activity in the past 12 months are often deleted. Abandoned and obsolete accounts are often quickly deleted from the server, making account recovery impossible.
Ok, what did the Yahoo response say?
I understand, however you told me you already tried the recovery process, so what was the response from Yahoo at the end of that process?
No you cannot change it, otherwise anyone could simply change it and access the account - you need to complete the recovery process with as much information as possible so that Yahoo can make a decision on whether you are the rightful owner.
You are welcome! :)
