Gmail account, something accidently got pushed on my phone and now I can't open my gmail. States not syncing. I have attempted to fix but just not working

Press the Accounts tab.
Press Add account.
Press Google.

2. Start setup
Press New.

3.Enter your personal details
Key in your first name.
Press Last and key in your last name.
Press arrow right.

4.Enter the e-mail address
Key in the e-mail address for your Google account.
Press arrow right.

5.Enter the password
Key in the required password.
Press Retype password ***** key in the password *****
Press arrow right.

6.Select security question
Press Choose a security question.
Press the required question.
Press Answer and key in the required answer.
Press Recovery email address and key in the required e-mail address.
Press arrow right.

7.Accept the terms and conditions
Press Not now.
Press arrow right.

8.Enter the security text
Press the field.
Key in the letters displayed.
Press arrow right.
Follow the instructions on the display to finish the setup of your Google account.

9.Return to the Home screen
Press the Home key to end the session and return to the Home screen.

To remove a Google account on Galaxy S4 :

  1. On your Galaxy S4 home screen, tap the Menu button and select Settings.
  2. Next, go to Accounts > Google.
  3. Tap the Gmail account you want to delete.
  4. On the Sync settings screen, tap Remove account.
  5. On the confirmation dialog, tap Remove account.
