Customer Question

I have a gmail account that I access from a couple of different phones. My wife tried to set the account up on her phone as well. It wouldn't allow her to do that (authentication failed) and now I can't access it on my one phone (it says authentication error and asks me to re enter my password). However, when I do that nothing happens.
JA: How long have you had this issue with your Gmail account?
Customer: since this morning, and she tried last night
JA: How do you access your email most often? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?
Customer: mostly on one phone and then on a second phone that I use as a tablet
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Just re-entering the password. I didn't want to do too much to it
JA: Anything else you want the email expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I don't think so, thank you

Hi there and welcome

This is a security restriction that Google can put in place when they think your account is being hacked, which trying to access it from multiple devices can simulate.

On your computer, click on this link

Sign in if requested, then click on continue, then try to add the account to the phone.
