Hello, my name is ***** ***** I will do my best to assist you. Give me a few minutes to look over your question and I will respond shortly.
Do you receive any error messages when Outlook tries to download your e-mail?
What is your e-mail address that you are using with Outlook and your iPhone?
Has this just become an issue recently? Have you been able to get e-mail on Outlook before?
Let's test your e-mail account in Outlook. Go to File > Account Settings.Click on the Comcast account and then click Change...Click on the button "Test Account Settings.." and let me know what the results are.
I think it's "Change.." in Outlook 2010.
Ok. Your iPhone might be removing the e-mail from the server before Outlook can download it. Let's check to see if you iPhone is doing this.
Go to Settings > Mail.Select your POP account.Select Advanced for your POP account settings.Under Incoming Settings at Delete from server, the options are:NeverSeven daysWhen removed from Inbox
You'll want to choose Never so Outlook can pick up the e-mail also.
Do you have another account on your iPhone that is not configured for Outlook?
Is the board distribution list sending to that other account? We could set up the other account in Outlook so you get all e-mails in both places.
Is there a rule in your Outlook that sorts the board e-mails into a different folder? Maybe the board e-mails are directly being sorted to your Junk E-mail folder. Have you checked there yet?
Do the board e-mails show in the Comcast Webmail? Sign on to your webmail and see it they are still there.
I'd also like to see if the "Permanently delete suspected junk e-mail instead of moving it to the Junk E-mail folder" box is checked.
There is a Junk menu on the top ribbon under Ignore and Clean Up, click on that and there should be a Junk E-mail Options selection.
Ok. So the Comcast webmail has all of your e-mail except from the board e-mails you receive on your iPhone. Could you forward one of the board e-mails to my address,***@******.***? You can delete the contents of the e-mail so nothing confidential gets sent. I just want to see the header.
The e-mail address looks good. I'm going to reply to it and I'd like to see if it shows up in your webmail. Let me know when you have you webmail open.
Did this one go to all 3? Outlook, iPhone and Webmail?
Ok. It should work since I see no issues with the e-mail. Sorry we couldn't get it resolved. I'll have customer service close the case.
if it is just a few particular email addresses this happens to you might check the blocked sender list
Click Home > Junk > Junk Email Options.
while on the account in outlook.
make sure they are not on the block or junk list and add them to the always safe list
A lot also depends on how the account is set up in outlook or the phones. If it is set to imap than anything you do on it will affect all the devices. so if for instance you read and delete or file the message on the iphone it will be filed or deleted on the computer outlook as well.
If it is set to pop on one of them and not set to keep a copy on the server than once that device strips the email off by reading it you wont get it on any other device.
I can speak to you about it if you want on the phone, but the site requires an additional fee
