Is the whole inbox empty? I am trying to determine if your account was hacked. Do you check your mail any other way aside from at aol.com like on a phone or through another mail program?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.

Ok they may just be organized to show oldest first. In your inbox click where it says date at the top and see if there are any more recent emails.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
No sir they are not there...
Expert:  Chris L. replied 10 months ago.

Send yourself a test a email and let me know if you get it. Also check the sent mail folder and see if there is anything in there that you did not send.

the test worked and the sent mail folder still has all of my mail

All I can suggest is you check all of your folders in AOL and see if the messages are there. Paid AOL customers do get technical support which may be able to help but since you are on a free account there is nothing you can do if there was an error when trying to put them back into the inbox.

Make sure you search for the messages using the search mail box on the top left and see if they turn up.

It is possible that this was an accident and then there was an error. When email is deleted from the trash it is gone for good. You can try giving a call to 1-***-***-**** and see if they will assist but I cannot promise they will since you are not a paying customer.

Just make sure you are thorough and use the mail search and go through all of your folders. But it is possible that the mail was accidentally deleted from the phone. That seems the most likely case since you did say you deleted some email from with your phone so it is possible there was a mistake made that you did not realize. Without seeing it myself it is hard to say for sure but that is the best advice I can give you at the moment.
