If I had an additional email address to an iPad or iPhone to send and receive messages, does the added email address receive all of my incoming messages?or does it just allow me to send an receive messages from that device?

I think what you are asking is if you already have an email address set up on an ipad or phone will that new account get all of the email for both email accounts.....correct me if i am wrong. The answer to that is no, not by default, how ever you can set it up so you do get all of the email sent to one account, thats called email forwarding and is very common. Let me know.
