Hello! My name is*****

I have checked your account and you can change (reset) the current password ***** confirming your identity.

The easiest way to do that is to receive a verification code that can be sent to the associated phone number, which should be yours. For security reasons, I cannot see the full number. I only see that it ends in 43.

Do you still own that phone number and can you receive text messages there?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I still own that phone number. No, I cannot receive texts on that phone.
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

Is that your landline phone number?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No, it's my cell phone number.
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

OK. Please type the full phone number here.

home phone
(###) ###-####- cell phone
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

Thanks!

Google reports that only(###) ###-####can be used to receive a verification code in order to request the password ***** and it can be done only by sending a text message (SMS).

I see you wrote you could not receive texts on your phone. Is that because the phone doesn't support sending and receiving text messages?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Correct. I had Verizon turn off all texts, which is why I thought you could not send one to me. I cannot receive or send texts.Kathleen
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

If the phone (SMS) verification is not available, then the only other way to request a password ***** would be to answer multiple questions about the account usage such as: last password ***** date of account creation, frequently used e-mail addresses, name of labels created, etc. That will help Google to check if you are the true owner of that account.

Do you think you can answer such questions correctly?

I have received my Goggle Verification Code via my cell phone now. What do I do with it?
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

Oh, great! It seems that you can receive text messages after all. You probably just cannot send them.

The Goggle Verification Code you received has expired by now. I will now request a new one. Please check your phone. Once you receive it, please type the code here, to me.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I just received the Google Verification Code again. It is the same as before -- 721617.
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

Great! It is a correct one.

Google now allows password ***** Type here a new password ***** want to use for your Google account and I will change it for you.

Let me know if you can do that.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Well, this is where I really need help. WHERE do I go to do this?
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

Here is a direct link for Google Docs:

https://docs.google.com

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I cannot seem to get through on that link.
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

What happens when you try?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I get a small ball (red-yellow-green-blue) turning round and round, but nothing comes. I see the site, but it is a dull color.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
My son's name is ***** ***** the top right corner? (Jesse)
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It seems I cannot get through to the website. The ball keeps spinning, and the webside is a dull color. ??
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

Which web browser are you using?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I'm not sure. Safari or Optimum Online?
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

OK. It's Safari.

Please click on the link below and then enter your Google address and password, and see if it will work:

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Okay. I used the new link you gave me. It took me to a site where there are 3 accounts. One of them is my kpacheco40, so I clicked on that, and then below. That takes me to the site (with my name up on top), where the little ball appears, and the website is a dull color. I can't get in.
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

Please try this link and let me know if it took you to your GMail account:

https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?service=mail&continue=https://mail.google.com/mail

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The other day I couldn't get into my bank account, and the message said I needed to go to Apple, and buy an upgrade. Maybe this is the problem? Meanwhile, I was contacted by Google, and told I have a new account number, and I set up a g-mail acct.
Then they called back and gave me another number. ??
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I tried the link above again, but I get g-mail. ?? I'm not sure how to go to Google Docs.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Have to go now. HOW do I get back to you?
Expert:  IT Miro replied 1 year ago.

This seems to be a problem with your web browser - Safari.

I suggest installing another web browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. Here are the download links for both of them:

Mozilla Firefox:

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/products/download.html

Google Chrome:

https://www.google.com/chrome

Install one of them and start it, and then go to the Google Docs page on this link:

https://docs.google.com

Make sure to sign in with your Google account.

Let me know the results.
