Running Windows Live Mail 2012, on a Windows OS.
Attempting to create my gmail account.
Continually receive this message; even though, I have the exact same setup as everyone of my other coworkers - using the exact same software and OS. I am an independent contractor so we do not have a IT department.
Unable to send or receive messages for the Mbgsales (mick) account. An incorrect password ***** entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password ***** this account.

you have to enable pop in your gmail account

Here's how to enable POP in Gmail:

  1. Sign in to Gmail.
  2. Click the gear in the top right .
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
  5. Select Enable POP for all mail or Enable POP for mail that arrives from now on.
  6. Choose what to do with your messages after your POP client or device receives them.
  7. Click Save Changes.
