First of all, please turn off 2 step verification process as given under:
Click the link:
In “Signing in & security” section of My Account, select 2-Step Verification. Sign in with your username, password, and verification code if asked.
Select Turn off 2-Step Verification.
A pop-up window will appear to confirm that you want to turn off 2-Step Verification. Select Ok.
And then login into your account and go to account settings and change the phone details as given under:
- Sign in to My Account.
- In the "Personal info & privacy" section, select Your personal info.
- Choose Phone.
- If adding a phone number, select Add Recovery Phone.
Or, if editing a phone number, select edit .
- Follow the onscreen instructions.
Note: You must use a mobile phone with text messaging turned on.
