Welcome to Justanswer.com, my name is ***** ***** I will do my best to assist you.
To get started, I need to know what type of computer you're using.Windows XP, Widows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Or a Mac.If it's a Mac, please check the OSX version as follows.Click the apple sign at the top left of your screen, then click about this mac. And then where it says version, send that to me as a reply.
Also, how are you accessing AOL. Do you have the AOL desktop program / browser installed? Or do you access aol through Internet explorer, Firefox, or Google chrome?
As a test, can you try downloading and installing Firefox, and then testing AOL inside firefox.
You can get it from here.
I dont consider this to be a fix or a solution, but rather a test. Please let me know how AOL behaves through firefox when you have it downloaded and installed.
Thats strange.. Question, do you have any browser add ins.. Such as Norton, Mcafee, Avast? Anything that could be blocking the browser from functioning properly?
My apologies for the delay. Since you can easily reinstall Webroot.
Lets try uninstalling web root. And then turning the computer off.
Also, lets try unplugging your modem and wifi router from power for one minute.
Then plugging them back in, turning the computer back on.
And then in firefox for good measure, reset it using the button on this page. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-preferences-fix-problems?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Resetting+preferences
Scroll down to solution 1, and click the refresh button.
Then once firefox has been refreshed. Try again to access AOL using firefox. And check the status of the address search issue.
