Did you check the trash folder for the deleted email ?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yes. The only ones in there are ones I put in. It's concerning because it seems to be actively ongoing.

Plus i am not receiving business inquiries that we rely on to generate business
Expert:  sudipto_dutta replied 1 year ago.
From, where do you get those enquiries, like any website etc. ?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
From our website but those are not the only emails missing. And ones that were in our inbox this morning are no longer in there
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I received a notice from yahoo that on wed. 5/27 @ 2:33 pm they noticed an attempt to log on from an unrecognized device in Nigeria. This was AFTER I changed the password ***** morning!

FIRST, check that the alternate e-mail address/mobile phone number is ***** yours, under Options, Mail Options, Account Information, but then change the alternate address, so the hacker will not be notified of the change! Check the 'Reply To:' address, Vacation Response and other linked Mail accounts as well to be sure they are still yours. Check and delete any Contacts, accounts and linked social networking sites you do not recognize.
You can contact the website developer and ask them to re-link your email address with the website, may be they have blocked the address or the hacker had broken the link between the email and website.
If the contents of the account were deleted, act NOW! There is only 48 hours for recovery of the mail, and there are no guarantees. (24 hours has a better chance of success) The Restore Help form depends on the mail you use:
Read these Yahoo Help pages first for details. The second reference is steps to take before requesting a 'Restore' - do read it!

First, for Mail, there is a Live chat or E-mail chat with Yahoo tech support, for free. Click the Help tab, then at the bottom click Customer Care. Click the cartoon conversation bubble for a Live Chat with Customer Support, although the lines are often busy, so be patient. Or use the envelope icon to e-mail with a description of your problem.
The Restore mail pages depend on the version of mail you use:
Classic Mail: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/classic/mail_restore.html
Regular Mail: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/yahoomail/mail_restore.html
OR: Click Contact Us on the Help page, and sign in. Click the Yahoo! Mail Restore Help Form and fill it out.
NOTE: That request will delete all e-mails in the Inbox since the 'Restore' date, so keep moving these to another folder, forward to another e-mail address, or read and delete ...
Check the Spam folder if there is no reply in your Inbox from a Yahoo! Technical Support Agent.
*** A restore returns your account to the time you specify, which means that ALL messages, including instant messages and email messages, received after that time are deleted and cannot be retrieved!
If you need to restore your Yahoo! Address Book (Contacts), please fill out the following restoration form and one of the Yahoo! Address Book agents will attempt to restore your Yahoo! Address Book. This is only possible for 10 days but is definitely worth a try.
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/addressbook/ab_restore.html
or, click Help on the mail page, then Contact Customer Care. The Live Chat button takes a few seconds to show up, but it will. If not, wait and refresh the page (F5). Use the cartoon dialogue bubble for Live Chat, and the envelope icon for e-mail. The e-mail response is often only a few hours!
