I have a Motorola L704C cordless phone + 3 extensions.

Customer Question

I have a Motorola L704C cordless phone + 3 extensions. Screens on all units are frozen at "SEARCHING...". I have replaced batteries in all units and still get no response after 7 or more hours in cradle. What can I do to restore service\?
JA: How old is the phone?
Customer: About 3 years.
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Just a couple of days. Replacing batteries only thing tried.
JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Don't know what else I could say.

Hi and welcome to the site, I’m Louie. Sorry you had to wait awhile but I’ll do my best to help.

Initially, does the base unit show that it is turned on? ...icators/display as expected?

Will the base unit work in SPEAKERPHONE mode? ...using the cradle/corded handset?

And for test purposes, can you please unplug the base unit and remove the batteries of all the handsets for an extended period of time?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Base is just a cradle. No indicators or lights provided. I did remove old batteries, replaced them and put new ones in cradles overnight.

No. I'll just buy a new phone. Thanks for trying. END

Apologies for the delay, sluggish Internet if at all.

Still, I understand. Good luck.
