Electronics Repair Questions? Ask an Electronics Technician
Hi, I'm Nathan.Sorry to hear that you're having trouble, but I'll do my best to help you. Please give me a few moments to review your details here.
Can you tell me a bit more about the problem please:1) If you have multiple handsets (within the same system), does this happen with all of them? 2) Are there other phones or even a fax, outside of this system but on the same line? If so are they working properly?3) Is this a landline from the local phone/cable company, or a VOIP service (vonage/magicjack/etc)?4) Do you have dsl service on the same line? 5) Full model of the phone(s) (printed on sticker on the base rather than handset )
Thank you for the information.
This may be a panasonic base station fault, but is equally as likely to be a problem with the cable based phone connection.
Start by unplugging power to your suddenlink modem/gateway for 5 minutes.
Replug, then give it 5 more minutes to restart, and then test out the home line again to see if it works and let me know the results
Thank you for trying.
This is still most likely a line fault,
The one thing you may attempt yourself is to fully reset the system:1) unplug both power and phone lines from the main base.2) remove batteries from all handsets3) wait at least 15 minutes, then restore all4) place a handset on the main base for a minute, as if to charge5) check for functionality.
