OK
Expert:  Louie replied 4 months ago.

A little more background info please:

  • • is this a fresh / new install;
  • • or the Panasonic has been in use as expected for some time and this issue of "ringer is off" intermittently occurs;
  • • just happened suddenly;
  • • and how many handsets are paired to the base unit ?
Customer: replied 4 months ago.
1. No 2 for years and this is the first time it has ocurred 3. it happened suddenly 4. 2
Expert:  Louie replied 4 months ago.

The model would be KX-TG4112C where the last digit indicates the number of handsets.

Please check if any of the handsets shows an icon of a bell with a diagonal line through it.

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
One does the other does not
Customer: replied 4 months ago.
It shows a symbol with ECO nex to itin the left corner of the display
Customer: replied 4 months ago.
This may help: The unit which shows these symbols was not in use. The bateries were removed?
Expert:  Louie replied 4 months ago.

That bell icon with a diagonal line indicates that the ringer has been silenced.

The ECO would pertain to economy mode; i.e. battery life.

Can we try adjusting the ringer ?

Main MENU / Initial Setting / Sub-menu 1 (Ringer Setting) / Sub-menu 2 (Ringer volume) / set 0 - 6

Customer: replied 4 months ago.

Expert:  Louie replied 4 months ago.

As above

Or hopefully simpler yet, dial # 1 6 0 then select ringer volume preferred.

Customer: replied 4 months ago.

Expert:  Louie replied 4 months ago.

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
After I have the number of the screen how do i get to the level set-up ??
Expert:  Louie replied 4 months ago.

number of the screen ?

Let's try again please using the handset:

  • MENU # 1 6 0;
  • use ▲/▼ to select volume level;
  • SAVE;
  • OFF.
Customer: replied 4 months ago.
with the number on the screen I am not able to adjsut the level unless I change by deleting the number
is that alright?
Expert:  Louie replied 4 months ago.

Sorry but no.

That would mean that that the phone is not in the correct menu/sub-menu.

Were you able to press the MENU button (middle button) before pressing the # 1 6 0?
