Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

Is the whine in the audio continuous? or is it intermittent, or dependent on circumstances?

Customer: replied 22 days ago.
audio noise depends on the frequency. on some frequencies there is no whine noise and the receive audio is clear, also no noises on transmit.
Expert:  Russell H. replied 22 days ago.

Such whine in audio is usually from feedback.

Is there any way this could be caused by feedback?

Customer: replied 22 days ago.
I would not think it is feedback as i am only in the receive mode.
Expert:  Russell H. replied 21 days ago.

Such high-pitched whines or howls or squeakings, in audio systems, are usually caused by feedback of some sort.

What microphone has input to the system?

Classic feedback is produced by a microphone picking up audio output from the same system the microphone feeds into.

Is there any such thing involved here?

What equalizer did you add to the Yasue FT1000 ?
