Initially, the described symptom almost always is an internal hardware issue.
Are you then considering a DIY (do-it-yourself) repair approach?
Or more importantly, would you be comfortable working on the inside electricals and mechanism?

Can you please remove the top cover? There would be 4 screws at the bottom corners holding it. The front plate/cover can also be removed.
Then please post back with clear pictures of the inside mechanism and circuitry.
