I have an old Pioneer Laser Disk Player (CLD-3070). The door

Customer Question

I have an old Pioneer Laser Disk Player (CLD-3070). The door doesn't open that has the disk table. This seems like a mechanical problem, but can't find out if there is any place in my area that repairs.
JA: Can you guesstimate how old your Pioneer is? And just to clarify, what's the exact model?
Customer: I purchased it in 1990. It is a Pioneer CLD-3070.
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: We don't use it too frequently. We were able to get it to work a couple months ago, but now it won't open again.
JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No.

Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

What is the region that you are in? I may be able to find a repair service for a classic Laser Disk player, in your region.

Oh, thanks for the offer, but I will decline the "call me". Can you give me an answer here?
Expert:  Russell H. replied 1 month ago.

I did not give you the solicitation for a call, and I can give you an answer here, just fine. Thanks for mentioning it....

Okay, do you have the answer ready? How long should this take?
Expert:  Russell H. replied 1 month ago.

Local shops are said to do poorly with laserdisc player repair.

Bayview, in Washington state, has good mentions.

Shall I continue searching for St. Louis MO area providers of servicing?

I think this is a lost cause. I thought you would have suggestions as to what I could try to solve the problem. Thanks anyway.

I have Opted Out, in case another Expert might be of help and provide what you need.

Thanks.

Okay, sorry. I didn't think this would be so complicated.
