my digital safe will not open--I have doublechecked the code --I think the battery is dead. What shall I do?

What color of light blinks when you enter the correct code, please? red, or green?

Do you hear any internal 'click' when the correct code is entered?

Do any lights show or any beep (for the keys) sound when and while you are entering the code?

red --after pressing the last button # there are many red blinks-
little clicks as I press keys

That sounds normal, aside from the lack of a 'click' of the latch opening, and the flashing red lights.

I think that

A. your safe does not have low batteries, and

B. your code may be wrong, or have been changed.

That's a guess based upon what you have reported.

the code has not been changed. I am the only one who uses the safe and I know. I have in my hand the original paper giving the model number and the code. I have used the safe successfully for many years but only changed the battery once several years ago because of indications that it was low. Since then it worked perfectly until yesterday.
