I have vx 809 brother sewing machine. Not stitching. Do I have it set on the correct tension. Or is there another problem.

Customer: When I sew it only sews first stitch then as I sew no stitches.

Have you checked the stitch length? You can try setting it at the longest stitch possible and see if that helps.
