Customer Question

Good Morning I have a fatal error 173 on my Oki printer
JA: What's the make and model of your printer, and can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Oki C711WT PLUS MINUS TWO YEARS
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: JUST THIS MORNING WHEN I SWITCHED IT ON WAS STILL PRINTING YESTERDAY AFTERNOON
JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?

Hi there and welcome

First, is the printer connected to a power extension board or directly into the power socket?

Power socket
Expert:  Richard replied 1 month ago.

Thank you,

Can you please remove the power to the printer (so unplug it from the power socket).

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the printer, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

Let me know the results please

Hi still the fatal error
Expert:  Richard replied 1 month ago.

Thanks

It is the internal powerboard within the printer that has faulted, this now confirms it
