Hi, I'm Nathan.Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with this but I'll do my best to help you.
what connection method are you using here?
I need specifics, please. Vga, hdmi, dvi, etc
That is fine, you are seeing an optional and automated call offer.I can help you here, but I need the requested details to do so.
I understand what you are trying to do.
Again, can you please tell me HOW you have the mac connected to the projector?
I cannot say yet until you tell me what connection is used.HOW is the mac connected to the optoma (what cord, port, etc)
There is always a cord of some type required.I need to know which one, there are several possibilities, and I need to know exactly which one you used.
Okay, so you need to first set the optoma to the HDMI input mode first.
Next on the mac click on the Apple Menu in the top left corner of your screen
Select System Preferences from the drop-down menu
Select the Displays icon
When the Displays window appears, click the Detect Displays button
The mac should then start projecting to the optoma
It is one of the INPUT modes, on the projector itself press the SOURCE button repeatedly until you get to hdmi, or press the HDMI button on the optoma remote.
Then use the buttons on the projector.
Were you able to press the SOURCE button on the projector to get to the HDMI input mode?
Do you need more help with this?If so, simply reply back on this page.
Please note: You have already paid your fee to the site; I'd like to help you and provide value for that fee, but I do need to communicate with you here to do so.
Can you tell me where you are getting stuck?Did you get the projector set to HDMI?What display settings have you set?
All you have to do is press the SOURCE button on the top, it will give you the list of input modes, then use the arrow buttons to highlight HDMI, and press the Enter button in the middle.
If you are unable to use the onboard keys properly to access the input, then your best option would be to purchase the remote that came with it if yours is lost or missing, as that has a direct HDMI button on it.
