my Garmin Edge 1000 will not start despite the fact that I have the official Garmin cable plugged into an electrical outlet going from AC to DC?
JA: What is the exact model of your Garmin? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: less than 10 months
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: just today. I thought well maybe I left it on in the car?
JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: not that I can I can think of I am fustrated

If you have not tried this already, please try a master reset of the device and let me know what happens.

Connect device to computer
Press and hold LAP/RESET and POWER
Release POWER when screen turns off (continue to hold LAP/RESET)
Release LAP/RESET when device appears as a drive letter on your computer
