s2 watch not finding golf courses. when it reaches search it goes back to time.
JA: How long has this been going on?
Customer: just started
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: tried ton download updates, but that didn't work
JA: The GPS expert can solve this for you. Anything else you want him to know before I connect you two?
Customer: While on the course the search mode ran continuosly but never found the course

This is usually an issue with the Firmware, so I would first like you to do this please.

Remove the charger from the watch and hold the power button to off for 60 seconds.

Release, then connect the charger and try to turn on the watch and see if it now works correctly.

no it didn't work the screen is showing the battery symbol with three bars

ok, can you please do the following

  1. Press and hold Light/Power
  2. Wait until screen goes blank (approximately 10 seconds)
  3. Release Light/Power
  4. Press and hold Light/Power
  5. When the device powers on, release Light/Power

Let it reset and tell me if it is now functioning please.

after the screen goes blank the words software loader appear and then the garmin.com/courses web site appears with the battery icon and the three bars.

It is the internal mainboard that has faulted, this now confirms it

A corrupted firmware can cause this. But we have ruled this out by trying to reinstall it.

I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the watch to have it replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.
