Sorry to hear of any issue you are having with your phones.
To help you with this issue, may I ask:
1) How many TOTAL cordless handsets do you have with this system?
2) What phone service provider (phone company) you have for this phone line?
3) If you have ANY other devices (phones, fax, etc.) attached to this same phone line and if so, are they working properly?
4) Do you have access to a DIFFERENT phone line, so you can place a TEST call to your own phone number?
I see it has been a few days and I just wanted to follow up to see if you have any more questions concerning this issue or if the issue was resolved?
I only ask because I didn't see any response from my initial questions.
Also, the symptoms you reported sound more like a phone SERVICE issue than an issue with the phones themselves. So a quick TEST by connecting a DIFFERENT basic phone (corded phone is best) in place of the MAIN BASE UNIT of the Panasonic would tell us if this is a service issue or a phone issue.
