We just bought a house and it had a vivitek dlp projector.

Customer Question

We just bought a house and it had a vivitek dlp projector. The projector worked the first night. Then the second night when we tried to turn it on ... nothing happens. The blue power light blinks and that is it.
JA: How long has this been going on?
Customer: 2 days
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: we just bought the house
JA: The electronics expert can solve this for you. Anything else you want him to know before I connect you two?
Customer: I had an electrician here for a different issue and just had him take a quick peak but he said that really isn't his thing he said we are getting power

Hello, I’m Nathan, and I’ll be assisting you today. My livelihood depends on your positive feedback, so your satisfaction is my highest priority.

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble.

What is the full model number of the tv?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
It is a Vivitek DLP projector mounted from the ceiling. I can barely reach it...do you know where the model number would be located ?
Expert:  Nathan replied 9 months ago.

It will be on a sticker on the back near the power cord, or on the underside of the projector (but keep in mind it may be mounted upside down).

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Ok... let me check
Expert:  Nathan replied 9 months ago.

Thanks

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
It is mounted upside down. I am getting my husband to look
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Honestly we can't see anything other than DLP projector made in China
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Sorry it took me so long to respond
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
I unscrewed the only screw I could find and still do not see anything with a model number
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Do you have any ideas?
Expert:  Nathan replied 9 months ago.

Thank you

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Are you still here?
Expert:  Nathan replied 9 months ago.

Yes, I was waiting for the model

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
I can't find it. We have looked all over the unit and even unscrewed a cover. The only thing it says is Vivitek DLP
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Do you have any suggestions?
Expert:  Nathan replied 9 months ago.

Are you sure the light you see is only the power one? There are usually others too like temp, timer, lamp

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
The temp and ready light are not lit. The power is blinking blue 7 times then pauses then repeating
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
The blinking blue started only once we removed the cover. Otherwise it just blinks blue on off on off without pausing
Expert:  Nathan replied 9 months ago.

It won't operate with the cover (lamp door) open, so you need to close that back up, then recheck the lights.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Just same blinking on off blue light without pausing
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
This chat is not helping .... how do I get my $$ back
Expert:  Nathan replied 9 months ago.

I'm sorry but without even basic information like the model number, it is difficult to give you specifics.

Any billing matters are handled through the help page.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
It is more that it is just taking way too long to get any kind of response
Expert:  Nathan replied 9 months ago.

You may cancel through the help page.

Best of luck to you,

Nathan
