Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

What model of Sentry Safe is it, please? a fire safe, a personal safe, a gun safe?

What does the safe do when you enter your code?

Does the safe's keypad show a light or lights at any time?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
On the front there is a tag that I assume is the model and serial:
BK514963It's a fire safeAfter I enter the code it waits for me to open (far right green light). But after 2-3 seconds the red error light comes on.

You may need to blow powdered silicone lubricant (lock lubricant or latch lubricant) into the latch... it sounds rather like a stuck latch impeding it from opening.
