Is there a way to hard reset the Roku2 player? The reset button on the back does not help.

Hi Paul. If it is actually running an update, do not attempt to reset, you will damage the player beyond repair. You can reset from the menu, by pressing and holding the reset button on back for a full 30 seconds, or by unplugging power for 5 minutes.
