Hi and welcome to JustAnswer,Thank you for the question and your patience. Should you still need assistance for information purposes only...Initially, bear with us; re-confirm and post back with the complete model number of the device that has "...audio description/narration..."
Is the TV directly connected to an antenna? ...or is there a cable box or even a satellite receiver?
Any model number of this "...3x3 black adapter..."
The described issue would appear to be Closed Caption inadvertently turned on.
Have you tried turning OFF thje CC or Closed Caption Feature of the TV? ...or even that of the "...adapter from the cable co..."
Yes please, can you try unplugging just the TV? And what/which remote is in use please; Sansui or provided by cable company?
Have you tried unplugging the TV for a couple of minutes? The idea is to simulate a soft RESET.
And what is the model number or any markings of the remote from the cable company please?
And yes please, post back in the morning or when able.
A friendly reminder: please be careful and don't try anything that may be unsafe.
Have you tried the CCD button of the original Sansui remote control?
And is the "...audio description/narration..." still displayed?
Sorry, "...voice..." ?
Appreciate this information.
Can you please try and press DISPLAY button? If done, is "SAP" displayed on the screen?
What is shown please when the DISPLAY button is pressed?
Significant information as it would point back to the "...adapter from the cable co..." settings.
Any model number on the cable company provided remote?
Is it possible to send a clear picture of this remote showing the buttons & labels? Please click HERE.
Unfortunately, without further information on the "...adapter from the cable co..." and on its remote, I would not be able to identify it nor give further tries.
Hopefully another member can provide an alternate approach to your concern. The question would be re-opened as I would be opting out.
Good luck with this issue.
Yes please; as we have exhausted all potential faults with the Sansui and none of its features can attribute to the described "...voice..."
Which then points to the "...adapter from the cable co..." as the most likely suspect.
