Electronics Repair Questions? Ask an Electronics Technician
If the system has completely stopped working then check the power supply first.
Use a voltmeter to test the power going into the system, and take some further test readings inside the unit to help locate where the fault lies.
These units are quite old, and the most likely cause of the fault is a faulty component, possibly in the power supply circuitry depending on your exact symptoms.
If you can let me know some voltage test results I can advise further.
