The first thing I would suggest doing to correct the problem is holding the power button down for a full 20 seconds. This will reset the device and set it to factory settings. When it comes back up after doing this, it will have you go through the initial set up again and it should work as it did when it was new. If this does not help then it may be a hardware failure that is in need of service. Of course, if your device is still under warranty it will be covered by Amazon.
